David Castillo is a preeminent gallery in the United States in the identification, development and presentation of ground-breaking artists of colour, women and queer artists. The art gallery was established in 2005 under sole ownership. In an ongoing manner from year to year, the gallery has been named hundreds of times in prominent publications and it has effectively advocated for the inclusion of its artists in dozens of museum solo and hundreds of museum group exhibitions.
In thirty years Gagosian has evolved into a global network with seventeen exhibition spaces in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Paris, among many other important cities.
Founded in SoHo in 1989, Kasmin Gallery has developed a program in which the work of historic Modernist and Post-War artists is in constant dialogue with that of mid-career and established contemporary artists.
In Fall 2018, the gallery opened its newest and largest space at 509 West 27th Street, which expands the gallery’s footprint and provides a platform to build upon our curatorial mission. The new building also features a planted rooftop purposefully designed for exhibiting monumental sculptures, which parallels the gallery’s well-regarded engagement in international public art projects.
Spaces and Exhibitions That Will Amaze You
Designed for galleries to present one, two or three artists showing works created within the last three years, the Nova sector at Art Basel features strong juxtapositions and never-before-seen pieces fresh from the artist’s studio.
