Baselworld 2019 is just two days away and before the beginning of this massive tradeshow, Design Limited Edition offers you what will be the most anticipated modern watches design trends during this year’s edition.
This spectacular show that runs from March 21st through 26th this year, is an annual gathering of new high-end watches by luxury brands, and the 2019 edition is nearly here. Perfect for someone with a luxury lifestyle, Baselworld 2019 is also a good time to be a watch lover, particularly if you like to discover and explore new watch design trends. Take a look at all the Baselworld 2019 design trends and get amazed by stunning timepieces with an exclusive design.
Watch materials like bronze, titanium, carbon, and ceramic will continue to be a popular way for watchmakers to stand out. Other exotic, high-tech materials we couldn’t previously even imagine like IWC’s Ceratanium, Panerai’s Carbotech, or Girard-Perregaux’s carbon glass are examples of resources developed for watchmaking that we can also expect to see in this tradeshow.
While green is not quite the new blue, as you can see in this Mont Blanc watch model, a number of gorgeous recent examples have been well received, and some more can perhaps be expected. Other dial colours, as well, like red and “salmon” will be welcome. A. Lange & Sohne will provide craftsmanship masterpieces in this design trend, as we also can see. As many watchmakers learned from experience with blue dials, success with different colours very much depends on the execution of tone and texture.
We all appreciate a genuinely novel and contemporary design watch, but no one can afford to ignore the enthusiasm for vintage re-releases and generally retro-inspired design. During Baselword 2019, the “vintage” trend will be stronger. Some luxury brands have revived watches from eras past and have become truer to the originals, and that includes using smaller case sizes. Beside this, faux-aged effects have also expanded beyond yellow lume to things like speckled dials and even banged-up-looking cases.
Technology is now part of the watch landscape. Luxury brands like Apple are already producing smartwatches with a contemporary design and will be releasing new versions that make last year’s obsolete. Further, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more brands enter the game. During the Baselworld 2019, we can see new smartwatches that will continue to improve upon battery life, display, ergonomics, and also your luxury lifestyle.
There will be Haute Horlogerie pieces on offer. However, some luxury brands, as Tudor or Seiko, will provide the basic entry-level models in steel, often reviving vintage references, is one-way brands will achieve this.
Stay with us to find out more about the exquisite craftsmanship of Haute Horlogerie and to follow Baselworld 2019.
