Our passion of the week is this chamber screen by Piero Fornasetti. Created in the early 1950’s, this piece is one of the italian artist’s, who is best known for his many works featuring the face of operatic soprano Lina Cavalieri, finest works.
The chamber screen is the canvas of two motifs. On one side, the motif is “Instrumenti Musicali”, or musical instruments, and on the other side the motif is “Muro Romano”, with beautiful drawings of the Roman Empire era.
The screen reflects the result of haute craftsmanship know-how, with its hand painted and lithographically printed motifs.
