bl-limited-edition-750French maison Louis Vuitton has announced its foray in the perfume making industry with its first line of fragrances expected to release in September 2016. Although it may seem new to patrons, for the brand, perfume making is not an unchartered territory and holds a place of prominence in its history.

Louis Vuitton First Line of FragrancesThe brand, today, unveiled its creative atelier in the heart of world’s perfume capital—Grasse—and introduced the world to Les Parfums Louis Vuitton’s house perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.

1The man behind renowned fragrances like Stella by Stella McCartney and Dior Addict, Belletrud belongs to Grasse and has assembled an interesting palette of exclusive raw materials to experiment with. Perfumer Belletrud’s palette—touted as his dream palette—is a result of his discoveries from the region in the past four years.

4Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, the brand’s first in-house perfumer, spent months travelling the world in search of inspiration. Leather, the brand’s signature material, will obviously be part of the collection olfactory palette, besides fine perfumery materials such as Suss Osmanthus, Magnolia or Jasminum sambac.
