The Maserati Boomerang marked a crucial step in terms of automotive design when it was first unveiled in 1972. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, and initially developed as a non-functional concept car, it was quickly adapted and improved to a drivable concept, laying the groundwork for a new era of supercars which were about to follow. Years ahead of its time, the Boomerang boasts a sharp geometric body, unseen in previous automotive designs, which was later adopted by other models. Its engine, located in the rear, powers a 4.7-litre V8 engine.
The Maserati Boomerang is the car that every cars lover or collector must have in his garage. This expensive toy is amazing and offers a totally different experience: driving won’t be the same after trying this car.

Despite its buzz and success within the industry, Maserati opted to sell the Boomerang to a private buyer. It has since seen three different owners, each of which is car enthusiasts, thankfully keeping its components and original elements untouched. The Boomerang will be sold in an up and coming Chantilly Sale held by Bonhams, with experts in the industry expecting the Boomerang to be re-purchased by Maserati. Any collector looking for a chance to drive the Boomerang again must be prepared to go deep into their pockets.
