Milan Design Week 2019 – Crochet Exhibition by Melissa + Campana Brothers
Milan Design Week 2019, unfortunately, came to an end last weekend, but there is still plenty to discover.
Melissa presented, during Milan Design Week 2019, an artistic installation celebrating 15 years of partnership with Campana Brothers, Fernando and Humberto.
Melissa chose to showcase its pieces again in the core of the Brera Design District, Via Palermo 1, during Milan Design Week 2019. The installation was created by Campana featuring Brazilian NGO Projeto Arrastão, using pieces of crochet handcrafted by the NGO, Brazilian master artisans and Melissa.
The crochet pieces were assembled in a pyramidal structure in the centre of the main hall, submerging the visitor in Melissa’s universe and in the heritage of one of the most long-lasting and successful collaborations in its history.
The project is associated to the presentation of the new Melissa/Campana “Crochet” collection, composed of three products with the same characteristic and traditional crochet weave and an exclusive limited-edition shoe in metallic red, available for purchase only in the pop-up shop at Via Palermo 1 and shopmelissa.it.

The world of the Campana Brothers is a world of possibilities, a world where all things are made possible.
They combine ancient arts and contemporary design to create several masterpieces, including “Barroca”, a Melissa collection where everyday Brazilian life meets the most refined craftsmanship.
