Laura Vandervoort is a Canadian actress, best known as Elena Michaels on SPACE’s hit TV series “Bitten.” Born and raised in Toronto, Laura has been working since she was 13 years old and considers herself lucky to be doing what she loves best.
About 10 years ago, Laura began sponsoring two children through World Vision. But she wanted to do more. In early 2015, along with her older sister, Laura embarked on the journey of a lifetime to Kenya. “It was a chance that I couldn’t pass up. I had just turned 30 and had been through many things which had changed my life. I wanted to do more to focus on others, to help, and to widen my vision of this world.”
The actress 2015 trip to Kenya inspired her so much that she wanted to take some of her creativity and give back in a meaningful way. She teamed up with jewelry designer Melissa Lovy and designed the 11:11 Limited Edition Capsule Collection. A portion of all proceeds go towards World Vision Canada’s Daughters Of India program.” Learn more about the Limited Edition Collection and join Laura in making a difference by visiting www.lauravandervoort.com.
