Newton
Newton is an outstanding moment of our inspiration. We love creating fine artworks and the creation of this exclusive dining table took us thru an incursion into the world of science. The composition features lustrous spheres and hemispheres either stuck to each other or accumulated one on top of another, held together by gravity. In order to solidify this splendid creation, our special designers and master artisans have had to use varnishing, lacquering and casting techniques. Putting forth three different combinations of colors, of gold and myrtle, black and walnut or black and gold, all of them will definitely prove to be quite some eye-catchers.
This truly exclusive household object is as much a work of art as it is a functional piece of furniture. Newton is a dining table defined by a sumptuous gathering of aluminum spheres and semi spheres linked together to create an extraordinary structure.

Newton was designed by Marco Costa and produced by Mr. Cosme, a wise artisan that has been working with us since the beginning of our history. Let’s meet the stories behind the scenes.
Passionate and self-taught artist, Marco Costa’s inspirations now leads him to develop a very personal and subtle vocabulary exploring the boundaries between art and object. Marco, a gifted young designer wanted to create a special furniture piece for Christmas time. He wandered which could be the perfect piece for that time of the year and he assumed that a dining table would be pretty adjustable. But he didn’t want to design a conventional one. He was anxious to create a very fine and exclusive piece of furniture that would represent a huge statement for the brand. After working day and night, he and our studio came up with Newton’s idea.
Then, Mr. Cosme emphasized the excellence and authenticity of our craftsmanship, which is the base on which we have built our success and future. Although Mr. Cosme possess a wisdom that he gained by working with his grandfather and father in a factory making furniture, nowadays he can be characterized as a contemporary artisan. The virtuosity of our artisan represents a foundation of unique quality and an indispensable support for our ambitious and inspired creativity.

Newton dining table also echoes the designer’s attraction for science. Based on the laws of gravity, formulated by the famous Isaac Newton, Marco Costa conceived this limited edition table. Inspired in Newton’s law of gravity, he was looking for an object capable to reflect the sphere attraction as they were joined with their mass, force and energy. The concept behind this monumental creation can be explained by Marco’s eternal aim in designing works both audacious and pioneering. And Newton is the perfect illustration of this.
