Some cool new gadgets came into our homes in 2014, but with technology rapidly increasing and improving, 2015 will quickly bring new gadgets to replace them. Here are the top five gadgets and innovations that are anticipated to hit the consumer market in 2015.
Apple Watch — The release of Apple’s smart watch is probably the most anticipated for 2015. The Apple Watch was announced in September along with the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The watch is set to hit markets early 2015. It will have different designs and apps that users can modify.
Oculus Rift — The virtual reality gadget has generated a lot of buzz in the past year with developers, but a consumer version will finally hit the market in the summer of 2015. Virtual reality has gained a lot of popularity with the video game industry, tourism industry and the entertainment industry. Virtual reality has also attracted a lot of companies to produce their own gadgets, Oculus VR is not the only option in the market. Samsung and Sony will also release VR head gear.
CarPlay — Apple’s operating system will be incorporated into more cars in 2015. CarPlay features the Siri voiceand assists drivers with directions, calls, messages and music streaming. Apple has partnered with multiple car companies including Audi, Jeep, Kia and Ford. CarPlay is also available for earlier models with an aftermarket system.
Smart Rearview Mirrors — Nissan and Cadillac are expected to be the first car companies to incorporate smart rearview mirrors in their cars. Drivers will now have LCD monitors incorporated into their mirrors to increase or clear visibility under various conditions. The driver will be able to switch back and forth depending on their preference.
The Dash — These new wireless earbuds reinvent headphones. The Dash earbuds are not just in-ear headphones, they also serve as a fitness tracker and a microphone. The Dash will allow users to track their workouts by measuring their body vitals and giving them real time acoustic feedback. The wireless headphones will be released in April 2015.
